A natural sweetener, honey is one of the most widely used ingredients today. Known for its healing properties, honey is a favorite amongst those who prefer all-natural products. Though the honey making process is quite amazing, it’s the numerous benefits that make it even more appealing.

  • For those suffering from arthritis, consuming honey that is mixed with hot water and apple cider vinegar can help in soothing the pains and aches of arthritic patients.
  • Honey is one of the most common ingredients found in skin and beauty homemade products. Due to its antibacterial, antioxidant and moisturizing properties, honey can be added to your daily regimen for cleansing, acne treatment and anti-aging.
  • Gargling with a teaspoon of cinnamon and honey, mixed in warm water is a great way to freshen your breath and makes for a natural mouthwash.
  • Having trouble in getting to sleep? Since honey contains sugar glucose which basically conveys to the brain to not be so alert, taking one tablespoon of it before sleeping can result in a more restful sleep.
  • Honey also acts as a laxative – simply mix lemon juice (fresh) with three tablespoons of honey with warm water.
  • Those tired of dealing with dry or frizzy hair can use honey to retain moisture in their hair.
