We all feel lost at periods in our life, so the first thing to realize is that it’s a human condition. Know within yourself that nothing lasts forever. There will always be ups and downs. It is what you do in those times. When you’re up, prepare and strengthen yourself for when the wind shifts. When you’re down, prepare and strengthen yourself for your victory. When people say its all about attitude, it truly is. Look for opportunities, they are everywhere.

Yes. I was lost several years ago to alcoholism and kept failing miserably in my personal life and my businesses. The book I refer to over and over again over the years has been “Looking Out For #1″ by Robert Ringer. He was a failure in Hollywood in the film business and he talks about life, ego and how to succeed. he did finally succeed and that was in the writing of books. And he wrote some damn good books. He always referred to himself as a ‘tortoise”. He would talk about love and finances. He explained people perfectly, and loneliness. He would ad a little humor to his stories, but they were all true. He is great. he discussed how ego gets in the way of our happiness and making money. He summed life so well. After 20 years of flops in my life, these past 3 years have seen my life heading up very well now. I always refer in my mind to what Robert Ringer taught me. Here is a link to his website. He seems to be more of a conservative as I see on his website, but his books and his website do not rail against any particular politicians. He never came across as political. He is about How to succeed. I still have problems, as we all do, but my life is so much better and my perspective forward is really making me happy. And there are a lot of things in my life (mostly disappointing times) that have taught me to grow and succeed. Robert Ringer and his books have played a huge part in helping through so much turmoil in my life. He told great stories how he fell from grace in Hollywood and how he was chased around town by the sheriff and collection agents. And it tells it all to teach you a lesson, and he is great. “Robert Ringer is also renowned for his philosophical insights, keen understanding of human nature, and willingness to take strong ideological stands on controversial issues. As one of the most insightful social observers of our time, his trademark is his ability to explain complex issues in an easy-to-understand, entertaining manner.”
